Editing Services

Our editing service focuses on improving your written English so that you achieve your goal or objective, be it the acceptance of an article for publication or the successful submission of a final essay. Our editors focus on correcting spelling, grammar usage and punctuation errors. If a sentence sounds strange or unnatural, they will make it sound fluid and engaging.

We will not only correct the above errors, but we will leave comments and suggestions in situations where the English is technically correct but may be better used in an alternate way.

In this way our service can also be useful for students or researchers who have learnt English as a second language. Our corrections and notes will not only make the document more professional but may help improve future written English through learning.

Some of our editing services include:

Academic proofreading
Dissertation proofreading
Business proofreading
All document proofreading

Guarantee

At New Word Services, we are confident that our editing and English proofreading will drastically improve your document. Our service does not involve writing your piece however. We do not edit research content. As in the example of a research essay, we can make it read perfectly, but if the information, facts or general gist of the writing is wrong, we will not try to change it.

For this reason, if your manuscript is rejected for reasons of English language alone, and we believe that you have made a good-faith effort to incorporate our changes, we will re-edit your manuscript for free. Unfortunately we cannot extend this guarantee to manuscripts that have been rewritten after our editors have performed their revisions. For that reason, we recommend that you upload your manuscript in its final form.

Editing Tools

We accept manuscripts/ submissions as Microsoft Word documents (preferred) or as rich text format (RTF) or text files. To edit your essay we use a tool built into Microsoft Word called 'Track Changes' (present on the 'Tools' menu).

After editing the document we will send you your original file back, unedited, and the finished, edited document that shows all the changes we suggest. You will then have the option to accept each change individually, or accept them all with the press of a button (we recommend going through them though, simply to confirm that some of the changes have not altered your intended meaning in any way).

View a small sample of a document, before and after editing.
